After the European Union, another World Organization condemns Paul Biya regarding issues of democracy and respect of human rights in Cameroon.
Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) which is a non-profit, apolitical organisation based in New York welcomes the adoption of the resolution of the European Parliament and calls for the immediate release of the opposition leader, Professor Maurice Kamto of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party and of all political prisoners.
Again, the global PGA network calls on all relevant bodies in the International community to take steps to restore democracy and respect for human rights while respecting the rule of law in Cameroon.
In the same light, according to PGA president Margareta Cederfelt of Sweden, the Republic of Cameroon should open a new phase of peaceful dialogue with the political opposition and minority groups to bring about democratic renewal of the benefit of all communities and people living in Cameroon.
Nevertheless, the release of Professor Maurice Kamto would clearly show that the Republic of Cameroon is ready to be trusted and peaceful partner of the International community in the common struggle for peace, democracy and the respect of human rights in the World.
