JMC 2019 CORPORATE COMMUNICATION CONFERENCE

 

   The conference which took place at the Dorothy Limunga Amphi theatre of the University of Buea with the theme; " Exploring Opportunities for Corporate Communication in Emerging and Establishing Businesses in Cameroon" had the participation of both staff and students of the department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
   After the welcome address by the Head of Department, Dr.Kingsley L.Ngange, speeches by other speakers like Mr.Ivan Namme and Mr. Paul Manyanye, and the official opening by the University of Buea,Vice Chancellor's representative, the Guest speaker took the mic to enlighten students on the importance of Networking in Corporate Communication.
   " Networking is not what you know but who you know". Those were the words of the Communication expert of  GCE Board, Mr Matthew Takwi speaking on Corporate Social Responsibility. He said a good networker needs to invest time in getting to know people while respecting the Dos and Don'ts of networking.
   Thereafter, fundraising was let by Mr.Ivan Namme with the purpose of supporting Masters in Corporate Communication and the conference deliberations were done by the Rapporteur, Mr.Divine Besong.
   The curtains of the event were cut by the Head of Department who said" JMC is the best". Nevertheless, the students were reminded to remain patient, proactive and persistent while exploring opportunities in Corporate Communication.
