ANOTHER ATTACK ON INHABITANTS OF MOUNGO DIVISION

      Gunman have attacked a pineapple factory,  reducing it to ashes in NDO 5 village located some 3km from river Moungo , Mbanga subdivision, Moungo Division of the littoral region of Cameroon
     According to National Telegraph the unknown gunmen stormed Ndo  ,village early Tuesday, 19th March 2019. Moved to the pineapple factory, held workers at gun point and set the factory on fire, with no military intervention.

     National Telegraph has been told by factory officials that, a tractor of the enterprise, the production unit and other equipment of the Enterprise have all been reduced to ashes by the attackers. Twenty (20) workers of the enterprise were also abduction by the gunmen and taken 3km away from the factory to the banks of River Moungo where they mysteriously escaped.

    A victim told National Telegraph that they were  saved by God from the hands of their kidnapers. The kidnappers guided them at gunpoint, in a pickup towards the banks of River Moungo at the border with the trouble hit south West region of Cameroon. At a swampy area, beside the river, the gunmen who were behind them on a bike felt off and they, the abductees immediately jumped off the pickup vehicle, managed to escape, before the armed men could rise. The attackers,  out of fear of further confrontation, escaped to an undisclosed destination.

     It remains uncertain the identity of those behind the attack,  but the D. O for Mbanga, who decended to the scene several hours later,  indicated that the gunmen were Armed Anglophone separatists fighters in the conflict hit English speaking neighboring South West region  of Cameroon.  Separatists, fighting to restore the statehood of former British Southern Cameroon, now North West and South West regions of Cameroon, have not claimed responsibility for the attack.

    Moungo Division, littoral region of Cameroon which shares a long border with the trouble hit south West region,  has witness several armed attacks since the start of the anglophone crisis. The last attack in February, left two people death and properties destroyed in Mombo subdivision of the same Division.
