Schools are yet to resume in Buea, Kumba, Bamenda and other towns of the two crisis hitting, South west and North west regions in Cameroon  for examination students contrary to school resumption date  Monday June 1st. The streets remain deserted and most people remain in their homes while respecting the traditional Monday ghost town. 

Deutsche Welle’s correspondent in Bamenda, Cameroon’s restive North West region, Jean Marie Ngong Song is currently receiving treatment for injuries he sustained after being beaten by government soldiers on Sunday.

Presbyterian Church of Cameroon's elder, Akwo Gabriel Makia dies few days to his wedding. Reports have it that he   was killed by “a stray bullet” around Ikiliwindi between Kumba and Mamfe.The elder of the Presbyterian Church Kumba Town was heading to Batibo village in the North West Region for his traditional wedding on Sunday May 31st when the incident happened.

South Africans' government reopens liquor shops after two months lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. South Africans will be able to buy alcohol from Monday for the first time in two months as the government eases one of the toughest lockdown in the world.People are only allowed to buy alcohol for consumption at home and only from Monday to Thursday.
