Journalist Dies at the Edea Pouma Accident

Colleagues, friends and the entire media community in Douala, Littoral region are in shock, after it was revealed that one of theirs, 40-year-old Divine Ati Bumah died in the Edea/Pouma road accident which occurred on the night of the 18th and 19th of September 2019.

A correspondent for Congolese based media outlet, Label TV, friends say Divine was assiduous, collaborative and level headed. He died on his way back from Yaoundé to Douala, where he went visiting.

Born on the 30th of March 1979, he was a member of the Cameroon Journalist Trade Union, also known as SNJC.

At least 9 persons were declared dead in the accident that involved a collision between a Garanti Express bus and a truck around the locality of Ngwei II on the Edea-Pouma road.
