Constant Electricity Supply to Return to Yaounde in Three Days.

Water and Energy Minister Gaston Essomba Eloundou has reassured inhabitants of Yaounde that they will once again receive constant power supply in their homes and business premises in 72hours.

The Minister was  speaking on an evaluation visit to the substation under rehabilitation at the Melen neighborhood, on 23rd August 2019.

Officials say, progressive power supply will favour monitoring of the control system of the structure under rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, SONATREL and ENEO officials affirm that the entire structure will be completely rehabilitated within the 7days deadline issued by government.

The officials have been working round the clock since the station was consumed by fire on Tuesday August 7, 2019.

As the rehabilitation works commenced , the management of the electricity distribution company, ENEO drew up a rationing program which has been scrupulously respected .

But from the evening hours of Tuesday, load shedding will become a thing of the past, and the city will once again beam with lights.
