Minister of Water Resources and Energy to visit SONARA

 

   The Minister of Water Resources and Energy with his delegation will visit the lone oil refinery, SONARA on Thursday June 6, 2019, following the fire outbreak at SONARA, Limbe in the South West Region of Cameroon.
   In a press release, instructed by the Prime Minister, in execution of high directives by the President of the Republic of Cameroon, the interministerial delegation are said to visit the site of the incident and will hold working sessions with the staff of SONARA and the affected population.
   The blast which took place on Friday May 31, 2019 night had enormous damage on the production unit of the oil refinery. This explosion was said to have come out from a tank at the National refinery, which caught fire.
   Meanwhile, the government has assured the population that there will be no shortage of petrol and the prices will not increase due to the incident.
