Elie Smith Briefs on the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee


    The Spokesperson of the Anglophone General Conference, Elie Smith has revealed that he was guest at the private meeting of the US Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee that met on May 17, 2019.
   According to a press release on May 18 in Douala, he revealed that the meeting focused on the crisis in Cameroon especially the deepening hitting crisis in the North West and South West Regions.
   Again, Elie Smith confirmed that the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee was interested in the worsening humanitarian situation such as the breakdown of education, businesses, human rights and general insecurity.
   However, the AGC advocate said that he shared the exuberance of an inclusive dialogue including bthe concerned parties in the ongoing crisis. He further called on all stakeholders to choose the option of peace and dialogue initiative to go ahead for the sake of those greatly affected.
   Nevertheless, all attempts for the Anglophone General Conference to be hold in Buea has always fail since last year November and December, the AGC has been calling for support for the conference to hold. In the same light with the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, an inclusive dialogue will guarantee an end to this crisis.
