Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of University of Buea to Organize two Major Events

 

    According to a press release signed by the Head of Department of JMC in the University of Buea, Dr. Kingsley L.Ngange, his department will organise both the Corporate Communication Conference (CCC) and the World Press Freedom Day celebrations on Thursday, May 2, 2019 and Friday May 3, 2019 respectively at the School campus.
   The CCC which will hold on the theme; "Exploring Opportunities for Corporate Communication in Emerging and Establishing Businesses in Cameroon" is organised to enable professionals and experts in Corporate
Communication  drill students on the first-hand experience of the Corporate realities.

   To the PHD holder, the knowledge and acquired skills gotten by students during this conference will help improve on the functioning and global competiteveness of Corporations in Cameroon.
   Similarly, the World Press Freedom Day will hold on the theme;"Media for Democracy: Journalism and Elections in Times of Disinformation". The HOD explains that since Press Freedom remains an issue in Journalism and Communication training practice today, they intend to have experts drill students and communication stakeholders on Press Freedom realities and their role in the Press Freedom debate.

   To conclude, it is worth noting that the conference is opened to professionals and postgraduate  students involved in corporate studies and activities. Equally both events will have resource persons drawn from the corporate and Journalism worlds.
