More than 400 students of the University of Buea are currently using the Go Student platform to check their first semester results. The first semester results which were expected to be released by a communique signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ngomo Horace on March 12, 2019 delayed two days after and is being released today March 28, 2019.
According to some students, the delay of the final results has made classes ineffective for the start of the second semester. Given the fact that classes were to resume on March 20, 2019, students wondered how lectures can be effective without they knowing their results for the former semester.
Again, the traffic of students on the platform makes network very slow and poor that students are still not satisfied because most of them don't yet have a clue of their results despite their anxiety of checking their GPA ( Great Point Average).
Nevertheless, it is worth noting that on the expected day for lectures to start, unfortunately 15 students of the UB football team were kidnapped in the school campus but later released which affected the turn over of students entering the campus and the ineffectiveness of lectures.
All in all, all hopes are not lost as students and lectures are determined for the successful resumption of the second semester and the peaceful run down of the academic year.
