Cameroon has recorded 528 new cases in one day  confirmed today Thursday May 21, 2020 increasing the total number of coranavirus cases to 3,733 in the country.
 According to the ministry of public health, 8 deaths were recorded and 27 recovery cases registered this same day. In its daily press briefing in Yaounde, the government notes thats much still needs to be done in the sensitization domain. The government plans to dispatch a COVID 19 sensitization team to the field.

Cameroonians have taken to social media to condemn the  viral image of a medic accompanying a coronavirus patient to a hospital on foot.
According to reports from Abong bang, A town in the east region of Cameroon, the patient was accompanied on foot beceuse the hospital does not have an ambulance
The viral image has raised question about government’s readiness to fight coronavirus in the country. On April 28, the World Health Organisation was criticized for donating 14 luxurious vehicles to Cameroon as support to fight coronavirus in Cameroon.


French President Emmanuel Macron has reintroduced pressure on President Paul Biya after Pope and US secreatary of state Tibor Nagy pressurised him  to resolve the Anglophone crisis immediately through negotiations. In his message to president Biya in line with  the context of the 48th national unity day, Emmanuel Macron said Biya must act now.  He also expressed concerns on the security situation in the Far North region in Cameroon.


Cameroon's Ambassador to France has requested French Citizen and foreigners in Cameroon, wishing to travel back to their respective countries  through France should make themselves available in Douala and Yaounde on may 25th 2020 for repatriation.
In a release signed today Thursday May 21, 2020, the Ambassador said  a special flight of air France has been authorised the head of state to bring these category of foreigners through France.
