Cameroonian Diaspora child remembers IDPs on Vals Day

Some Hundreds of internally displaced Anglophone Cameroonians, mainly women and children, seeking refuge at Makepe Misoke Douala, say February 14th, 2022 will remain remarkable in their lives.
Also known as lovers day or the feast of St Valentine, it was on this special day- Monday 14 February 2022, that little Nembot Mekouen Iliana choose to visit and share the love with the IDPs housed by a goodwill traditional ruler Chief Dr Joseph Mofor, at his palace in Makepe Misspoke, Douala V subdivision.
Nembot Mekouen Iliana, 7 years old and her brother Nembot Mekouen William 5 years old are pioneers of the Ange Lisuke Foundation alongside their parents based in Paris- France. These children left Paris and chose to remember their brothers and sisters back at home. They shared with the other children cakes, lots of gifts and toys.
Chief Dr Joseph Mofor, who is a civil society leader and the national president of CRADA( Citizens Rights and Duties Association) has been lodging and taking care of these IDPs since the start of this crisis. He greatly welcomed the visitors and expressed gratitude for their support, highlighting that the gifts were timely, especially at a time when the plights of the IDPs, seem to have been forgotten by the general public.
Mr and Mrs Nembot, Founders of Ange Lisuke Foundation expressed their joy in sharing with these vulnerable IDPs and promised to bring more support by encouraging their partners to do the same. Madam Nembot who is a foreigner but married to a Cameroonian said it was equally an opportunity for the children to know their culture and cultivate the habit of giving. In the same vein, the internally displaced children were excited but wished their lives could be better. They hope this long-lasting crisis finally comes to an end, so they could go back home and live in peace. PhebNews
