Experts say the 'wanting' measures proposed by the Government of Cameroon to protect teachers and learners against COVID 19 as they begin classes on monday June 1st 2020, has once again exposed the loopholes in the COVID 19 fight manned by administrators.
According to Dr Nick Ngwanyam MD, Promoter of St Louis Clinic and University Institute Bamenda and Douala, the COVID 19 fight in Cameroon this far has been characterised by a poor methodology.
On the process to disinfect schools, Dr Nick Ngwanyam asked four pertinent questions which have not been answered by public administrators, notably; how do schools get disinfected?, For how long?, How often? and who pays for it?.
The medical expert argues that the occasional disinfection of markets is more dangerous, as it gives traders the impression that they are safe from COVID, whereas not.
"That thing done in markets once every blue moon as disinfection is no use, and instead cause people to relax thinking they are safe.
Its just another market for Campanies to make money on disinfection" Dr Nick
He maintained that what must be reinforced is hygiene.
"Clean all surfaces regularly with water and soap, put some eau de javel in the water and then reinforce all the other methods for prevention" he said.
To Dr Nick, You cannot open bars 'against' common sense and show up in schools with a 'disinfection program'.
He thinks failure to also disinfect bars where parents congregate only demonstrate that officials are playing to the gallery.
He thinks resources of the country will continue to waste as long as administrators are still the ones directing the fight against COVID 19, instead of the epidemiologists and the medical core.

I agree with you Doctor they make people in the market feel that they safe mean while they are not I think what we need to do is to practice personal hygiene and move on with our education
