Over 250 Internally Displaced Persons from the restive North West and South West Regions, now residing in the economic capital, have been assisted by female entrepreneur and business magnet, Taba Jane Yuyon.
Taba Jane Yuyon, along with her Longrich team over the weekend, janded over Longrich products worth some 5.3 million FCFA to the displaced. These included cooking oil, rice, toothpaste 200g, mosquito repellent, soap, sanitary pad and panty liners, exercise books, pens, etc.
The event started with a thanksgiving mass at Saint Joseph the Worker parish Bonandale Bonaberi, attended by Taba Jane and IDPs. After handing over the gifts, the Longrich team held a seminar to empower the IDPs who are expected to start up their own little longrich business and upgrade their standards of living
“ ..Each time I remind myself where I come from, it makes me remember that I have to look at other people who are in this kind of situation. I always counted myself blessed and wanted to look into the problems of those who felt they were lacking”, said Ms. Taba.
The philanthropist announced that she and her team will be assisting some parents by sending their children to school.
She is also expected to visit hospitals and commune with the sick as well as prisons, to help some inmates pay their caution and gain their freedom
